September:  An Evening at Midwest Food Bank

Who: Open to Ages 5-999  but children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

When:  Tuesday Sept 23, 2025 6:00 pm-7:30 pm

Where: Midwest Food Bank 700 Erie Ave Morton, IL

Sign up sheet in the Connection Center or email Missions@Tremontumc.net.  Emails will be sent with the link for the Midwest Food Bank registration. 

October: Community Appreciation Baskets 
Mission: Filling baskets to show TUMC Appreciation for those who work so hard to make our community  special.

Basket Recipients: Fire Dept, Rescue Squad, Police, Librarians, Village Hall/Board, Grade School Staff, Middle School Staff, High School Staff)

 Who: We are asking church groups (Family Life Groups, Sunday School Classes, Friend/Families, Committess, etc) to volunteer to fill a basket with goodies and Cards of Appreciation

 Examples: Cookies, Snack Cakes, Candy, Nuts, Mints, Gum, Lotions, Chapstick, Stress Balls, Fidget Toys…..  Use your imagination. 

 **Individuals can leave Cards of Appreciation to be added to these baskets.**

How: On Sunday Sept 6 take the a basket from the table in the Connection Center.  Fill it with goodies for the Community Group indicated on the basket.  Either deliver the basket to your recipient the first week of October or bring the filled basket back to the church by Sunday Oct 5 (the Mission Team will arrange for the delivery. )
